Trading Risk Lab FAQ

Quick answers about our trading calculators—position sizing, risk planning, partial exits, projections, scenario testing, and risk-of-ruin analysis.

General

Trading Risk Lab is a suite of browser-based trading calculators built for position sizing and risk planning. Use tools like the Trading Calculator, Partial Closes, Multiple Entries, Trade Scenarios, Trading Journal, Problem Solvers and Risk of Ruin to plan entries and exits, model costs like fees, spread, and slippage, and quantify risk—without signals or trade recommendations.
Our tools are for traders who want a numbers-first process—from beginners learning position sizing to experienced traders refining execution and risk. If you trade crypto, indices, or CFDs and care about consistent risk control, you’re in the right place.
No. We provide calculators and planning tools, not trading signals, advice, or recommendations. You bring your trading ideas; we help you size them correctly and understand the risk.

Tools & features

Our calculators support the markets most traders use: crypto, indices, perpetuals, and CFDs. You can configure things like leverage, position size, and fees, spread, and slippage so the numbers match how your market is quoted and traded.
Multiple Entries are used to plan a single position with multiple entries and exits as a cumulative position. They show how layered entries, partial closes, and final targets affect your average entry, position size, margin usage, and overall outcome.

Partial closes focus on execution: they break a position into multiple take-profit levels so you can see exactly how scaling out at each level impacts realized profit, remaining risk, and the final result of the trade.
Plans bundle tools (Core, Flex, Pro). You can’t buy tools individually, but you can start with the essentials and upgrade anytime to unlock more advanced planning and analysis tools. You can also chose a Flex plan, where you can access up to 4 different tools of your chosing, but this plan is available only on monthly basis.
